Hi Melvyn, what do you do, what are you working on?

I’m the co-founder of SwitchAround.com, the first platform that enables students to temporarily swap their accommodation or their room during their internship, Erasmus exchange or holiday. My job includes 2 main roles : creating and nurturing a team of passionate people around a clear vision; and piloting the development of our platform to deliver the best service and experience possible.

We are currently working on strengthening our community and helping students find a flat for their Erasmus exchange next year. Besides, we are dedicated to creating strong relationships with universities to build together a housing solution for student’s temporary mobility.

How did you hear about Azendoo?

I heard of Azendoo by a friend who was using it. I thought it might be interesting for us as well.

How has the application changed the way you work?

My team and I use Azendoo on a daily basis, and I can now tell that we couldn’t have been this effective without this tool. When we arrive at the office in the morning, each of us logs on our respective accounts and browse through the daily route plan.

Azendoo enables us to easily gather all our tasks and messages in one same spot, whether we are working all together at the office or when we work from different geographic areas. Besides, everything is organized by subjects making it easy to follow up.

Not only are we able to get help from team members on our tasks but we can also check out what others are doing. We end up putting in place important projects via Azendoo without even speaking to each other about it before hand!

What makes Azendoo different from what you were using before?

Before Azendoo, the team used another application but it was not possible to have a weekly overview or to assign tasks to other members. Azendoo helps us organise our daily and weekly tasks and we’ve become much more productive.

What’s your favorite feature?

Here are my 2 favorite features:

    1. We now have a clear vision of our primary tasks vs. secondary tasks thanks to the “Hotlist” vs. “Scheduled”. It helps us focus on work that creates real value for the company. And we know it’s easy to spend time on useless tasks.
    1. The planner gives us a 7-day vision. Organisation is king. We can have a clear vision of the work that’s being done. All team members are more connected, more responsive, more organised, thus more effective.

What’s the future of Azendoo for your team?

We would love Azendoo to put in place daily reports so that management can have a global but precise view of what employees do on a daily basis.

Who you would recommend Azendoo to?

I would recommend Azendoo to any startup, VSE or SME as it can be used in a team or individually and enables the company to have a global vision. I would also recommend using Azendoo in your private life if you’re seeking in becoming more organized.
