Here is an interview with Julienne Desjardins a webmarketer, Azendoo user for 6 month and new Azendoo Rockstar. In this interview Julienne explains how she uses Azendoo with her clients.
CAN YOU TELL US A BIT ABOUT YOURSELF?
I'm a digital marketing virtual assistant, and a Certified ConvertKit Expert. While I've been serving my clients for a while, I made the switch to full-time self-employment in early 2015. And I'm a work-at-home mom to my son, Luke.
HOW DID YOU MANAGE YOUR WORKFLOW BEFORE USING AZENDOO?
I was using another project management tool. Plus, I was working inside any other project management tools my clients were using in their own businesses. So I probably had 5 systems and calendars I was checking each day, and I couldn't keep everything straight. I was really overwhelmed and constantly feeling like I was missing a deadline somewhere.
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE AZENDOO?
It can't be denied that Azendoo is such a fair price for the value you get! That definitely attracted me. But I think the interface is so easy to use too. Some of my clients were "getting lost" inside my other project management system.
The interface was cluttered, and there were too many options to add subtasks. We were losing files and notes we'd left for each other in those subtasks. Moving to Azendoo definitely solved that problem. It is much easier for them to navigate, so that's great!
HOW DID YOU IMPLEMENT AZENDOO WITH YOUR TEAM?
I utilize Azendoo in two, main ways. For clients who are happy with their other tools & systems, I still collaborate with them there. But I've added in the simple step of setting tasks for myself inside Azendoo. (The mobile app makes this super easy!) So I just create a quick note for myself in Azendoo, so that all my client work ends up on the same calendar. That way, I can see everything I need to work on that day in one space.
When I switched to Azendoo, though, I moved as many clients over as wanted to come. So I invite clients as guests to specific subjects. It really works for me. And it's great to be able to add guests for free. This is perfect for those one-off projects, where a client is only with you for 5 or 10 hours. We can still benefit from the space without a lot of administrative costs.
WHAT ARE THE RESULTS YOU NOTICED FROM USING AZENDOO WITH YOUR TEAM?
Increase in organization and happiness, for sure! And time savings, for sure.
I've noticed, with new clients, that they are less resistant to moving from email to Azendoo than my new clients were before.
They're happier on this system. And it's easier for me to manage my daily workflow with one solid calendar. Azendoo is the first thing I open each morning, and the calendar view tells me everything I need to tackle that day. It's so simple.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE IN AZENDOO IN THE FUTURE?
I've been with Azendoo for 6 months, and I already see a lot of changes. So I'm hopeful about where we're headed! That said, I would love to see Azendoo eventually become a "one stop shop".
It would be great if contracts and invoices were integrated at some point. It would be really nice to be able to automate the client onboarding workflow with this one tool. In the short term, though, I'm excited for the functionality to be able to assign subtasks to a specific team member. That will help a lot!
